Swatantrya Veer Savarkar: OTT Release Date

Randeep Hooda's film, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, was released in theatres on March 22, 2024. It competed with Kunal Kemmu's movie Madgaon Express. Almost two months later, it will now be available for streaming.

The movie will premiere on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. The streaming platform announced this on May 20.

Special Date

ZEE5 shared a promo on Instagram. The movie, directed by Randeep Hooda, will be available for streaming on May 28, which is Veer Savarkar's 141st birth anniversary.

The promo shared by the makers said, "Ankhand Bharat tha unka sapna, Hindutva thi jiski buniyaad. Watch the untold story of VeerSavarkar - ‘India’s Most Dangerous Revolutionary Ever’, premiering on his 141st birthday, 28th May only on ZEE5."

Actor's Statement

Randeep Hooda looks forward to the digital premiere of his film. He believes May 28 is the perfect day to honour Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, a key figure in the Indian freedom struggle.

In an official statement, Randeep shared his thoughts on playing the lead role. "I learned a lot about this inspiring hero while working on this project. I want to share this film with many people to counter the false stories in popular culture. It was an honour to play this influential yet misunderstood revolutionary," he said.
